Cards and Planes
June 29, 2011
If you're wondering why the swimsuit issue hasn't updated, it's because of a lack of time. Those watercolors take a bit. It's not done, but it'll probably be quiet
until I return from L.A. at earliest. Sorry for the delays.
I forgot to mention that a while back I drew the Werewolf card for Vampire, Werewolf, Fairies - a game from Gozer Games. Other cartoonists to contribute included John Kovalic of Dork Tower, Phil Foglio of Girl Genius, and Terry Moore of Echo, Strangers in Paradise, and
making most cartoonists feel insecure about their art fame. The neat thing was this is the third card I've designed for a card game. In case you're wondering, I drew the Redneck Tree card for Munchkin 3: Clerical Errors and the Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies card for Munchkin Dice (now sold as Munchkin Reloaded - although they gave Aubrey blonde hair on the card for some reason). A few more cards and I can say I ruin fun games
professionally!
And I'm off to Los Angeles for the Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball that's being held this weekend (July 1st and 2nd). I'll definitely be there
Friday, probably Saturday, too. I'd hoped to do a Los Angeles reader gathering but I don't know the area well enough to run
one and haven't had time to try. Also, about the only days open would be
Sunday and Monday, and Monday is a holiday. Such is lfe. If anyone has any good ideas, tweet 'em to me. Hope to see ya at the ball.
