Seven Years of Self-Employment

June 14, 2011

In a couple of days it will be officially seven years since I did the big donation drive to test the whole "comic as a job" waters. I don't regret it, or a day of doing the comic for a living. Thanks for reading it.

Also, we're a few days into the S*P/Super Stupor Swimsuit issue. I did a swimsuit issue the first year of S*P as a thank you for reader donations and it just seemed like a fun idea to do again - although back then I hammered them out faster because I wasn't watercoloring them. I've no idea why I'm doing that now, but it looks good (to me anyway). This is my way of saying "thank you" for reading and sticking around, whether you're a new reader or you've been here long enough to remember when Aubrey had a bob-cut and bad ideas, PeeJee crushed on Jhim, and Davan was... well, Davan. Granted, if you felt so inclined to donate again through the PayPal link on the front page, I wouldn't weep (pretend I'm batting my eyelashes at you here - or don't, as I have a full beard and hair I've not cut in a year... unless that's your thing).

But, seriously, thank you for reading. It means a lot to me. -R.
